ONLINE TRAINING MODULE
Introduction to Risk Assessment
This course provides an understanding of risk assessments and how to complete one. Topics include legislation, employers’ and employees’ responsibility, and practical advice on how to identify hazards and analyse risk.
Health and Safety Risk Assessments
The Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 require employers to identify hazards and levels of risk to their employees’ health and safety at work.
A risk assessment aims to identify, evaluate, and control or eliminate hazards that will occur during routine daily tasks and activities.
Additionally, control measures must be in place to ensure the safety of your employees and visitors to your facility. To prevent harm to people, you must evaluate what could cause harm and take reasonable steps to avoid it.
If you employ five or more people, you must maintain a written record of all your risk assessments. Risk assessments in the workplace are required by law in the UK, but it should also be remembered that you have a moral duty to ensure suitable and sufficient risk assessments are in place to help ensure no one at work is injured.

Health and Safety Policies and Procedures FAQs
Health and safety regulations apply to anyone who owns, manages, or operates a building or business. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 governs almost every non-domestic building. You must ensure that the workplace complies with the required standards.
You do not have to use an outside company to complete the assessment, but you will need qualified staff if you want to handle it yourself.
We are based in South Yorkshire, but our assessors work nationwide. Most of our work is along the M1 corridor, including Birmingham and London. However, we have clients all over the UK.
Yes. We offer complete online training courses.
A balance must be struck between the level of risk and the measures to control the actual risk, whether money, time, or trouble. If, however, taking action would be grossly disproportionate to the level of risk, you should refrain from doing so.
